Dew points have been steadily increasing over the area in the past couple of hours. The main severe threat has shifted farther north of the area again. Now all of the ArkLaTex area is out of the slight risk issued by the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma.
WARNING: This does not mean we are completely out of danger. Yes, the greatest risk of severe storms is in the outlined slight risk area but there can (and always will be) an isolated risk outside of that area.
I am still forecasting temperatures to jump to around 70 degrees. Winds will be on the increase throughout the rest of the day and will be between 5-10 mph and will continue to increase around 10-20 mph later tonight. Tomorrow we will see a chance of showers and thunderstorms...50%. The precipitation forecast for tomorrow is based off of the forecast given from the Weather Forecast Office in Shreveport, Louisiana.
